After their mother’s death and her bizarre will, the twins—Jeanne and Simon—set out on a journey through their family’s country of origin in the Middle East, ravaged by civil war. In their attempt to uncover the identity of a father and a brother they never knew existed, they gradually reconstruct the dramatic past of their mother, Nawal.
As the truth comes to light, the story reveals a world marked by violence, trauma, and sacrifice. The performance explores the limits of human endurance and the ways in which memory, love, and suffering can shape human destinies.
A deeply moving performance about memory and truth, in which the past is pieced together step by step, like a painful puzzle.
