The National Theatre in Sibiu welcomes the launch of the project “Restoration and revitalization of the historical monument House of Arts – Center for Activities and Regional Resources (C.A.R.R.)”

The “Radu Stanca” National Theatre Sibiu congratulates the ASTRA Museum for their successful accessing of 2014-2021 EEA Grants as part of the programme RO-CULTURA and for launching the project “Restoration and revitalization of the historical monument House of Arts – Center for Activities and Regional Resources (C.A.R.R.)”. Based on their commendable initiative to promote the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the region of Sibiu by supporting and encouraging traditional art, the management of the ASTRA Museum will create spaces dedicated to handicraft workshops that will host seminars for apprentices, as well as future trainers, at the House of Arts in the Small Square. As part of the same project, a new identity will be developed for the House of Arts, which will become the Center for Activities and Regional Resources (C.A.R.R.), including a shop, a cultural coffee shop, a space for temporary exhibitions and cultural events.

‘The team of the “Radu Stanca” National Theatre in Sibiu congratulates Mr. Ciprian Ștefan, the manager of the ASTRA National Museum Complex, for his involvement, vision and the way in which, over time, alongside his team, he has managed to access prestigious European funds for the institution he represents. Congratulations for all your hard work and for finding ways to cooperate with other institutions in Sibiu, in Romania, and abroad. This project proves that, despite the hard times we are going through, there are solutions to ensure that the public enjoy creation, beauty, and cultural diversity. At the same time, I would like to reiterate that the “Radu Stanca” National Theatre will continue to be a trustworthy partner and we hope that all the projects we have developed together – such as, Micro-Folie Sibiu – Hotspot Cultural BRD, or “Tradiții TO GO” – are but the beginning of a long-standing collaboration”, Constantin Chiriac, Manager of TNRS and President of FITS.
