The FITS special conferences continue with “The power of faith”
Constantin Chiriac in dialogue with Fr. Constantin Necula

Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS), “Radu Stanca” National Theatre in Sibiu, “Lucian Blaga” University in Sibiu through the Department of Drama and Theatre Studies, in partnership with the Habitus Bookstore, organises the second conference in the series of FITS special events during the year. On Friday, December 16th 2016, from 6pm, at the Habitus Bookstore, Fr. Constantin Necula and Constantin Chiriac will be in an open conversation, during a special conference on “The power of faith”.

Throughout time, FITS enabled the communication and the development of relations between community and its artists, between personalities who create coherent projects in the name of a community and the great artists of the world. Within these special events internationally renowned personalities are invited, bringing added value to the communities they are a part of. Thus, “the second event of the programme we are developing is part of the exemplary conferences that the community needs, seeing as the personalities who are invited are known all over the world, and they are models for what members of a community should mean; and Fr. Constantin Necula is one of the most involved and gifted people that Sibiu has at this moment. Besides being a keen and endowed messenger of God’s word, he is also a great writer, a great patriot, a person with great civic responsibility, getting involved in all the issues concerning the humanity and the Romanian society, a man who cares, a man who brings comfort, consolation, the good word and beauty in the hearts of people all over”, Constantin Chiriac declared about the next guest.

Because of the increased interest shown by the national and international audience, the event will be broadcasted live on the TNRS Facebook page, so that the power of faith may also reach those who cannot be present. Whether we’ll meet at the Habitus Bookstore, or you’ll be following us online, we are inviting you to “a dialogue about faith, what it means, in all its aspects. Faith that gives us the opportunity to confront all obstacles, to take further our mission as people on Earth and the need for beauty, for redemption, peace and fulfilment”, Constantin Chiriac added.

The conference on December 16th is the last of the special events organised by FITS in 2016, but in the 25 weeks left until the next edition of the festival (9-18 June 2017) we will offer the audience other extraordinary events that we will discuss more in the future.
