„Gura Izvorului” - Vatra Moldoviței Ensemble
The “Gura Izvorului” Folkloric Ensemble had its start in 1995, at the school in Vatra Moldoviței, and it was named after a picturesque place in the village. The beauty and the sensitivity of the folkloric song and dance came together, and in 2008 the Folkloric Ensemble „Gura Izvorului” was founded.
The dances presented by this group of children are archaic, but each audience member can identify with these amazing youngsters who extend an indirect invitation to revisit Once-upon-a-time Childhood Street. The battle between good and evil, the subject of knowledge, the curse, the journey of initiation similar to that of Prince Charming, songs and riddles that are played on different occasions, counting songs, the cycle of the seasons, Man’s futility faced with the Great Beyond tackled in a playful manner, are several coordinates that still romanticize childhood in the Romanian village in contrast to the new technologies in the urban space.
