In 2018, the Sibiu International Theatre Festival, through the "Radu Stanca" National Theatre, is partner in a new European project, Voices of Solidarity (VOICES), in association with the following organizations: ArtReach LTD - project coordinator - Museo dei Bambini Roma, CESIE Palermo and Altonale GmbH Hamburg. This project is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. The initiative aims to highlight the importance and challenges of achieving freedom and the integration of refugees in the host communities, in the context in which the European Union is facing some unique situations and new challenges - the result of its own transformation.
A site-specific dance performance in public spaces
Produced by altonale, EU-Projekt VOICES and STAMP Festival
What limits us? And can we overcome our limitations?
In an encounter in public space, five artists face inner and outer boundaries.
Three dancers, a singer and a musician challenge each other (publicly) and come closer to each other. In their movements, their singing and their music, they explore, break in and overcome what constricts them. With their firm will to attitude, they find openness and tolerance behind barriers.
