The Focșani Garrison Military Band was founded on April 1, 1883, within the 10th Regiment „Putna”, and has maintained a tradition of over a century in the service of art and military discipline.

Over time, the band has participated in major national military music festivals held in Brăila, Sibiu, and Iași, contributing to the promotion of Romanian military music traditions. At international level, the Focșani Garrison Military Band has represented Romania at festivals held in Hanover, Bayreuth, and San Remo.

Today, the band is part of the 282nd Armored Brigade „Unirea Principatelor” and is led by major Bogdan Ioan Ciuraru. Its repertoire combines Romanian military music tradition with concert works and modern arrangements, playing an important role in cultural and ceremonial life through participation in official ceremonies, commemorative events, and public concerts.
