Dance companies from Israel, Spain, Germany, France or Italy bring to the Sibiu International Theatre Festival some of the most appreciated creations in the field worldwide.

Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company from Israel presents the performance „The Need for Touch”, with a choreography, scenography and lights by Rami Be’er.

"An extraordinary creation of an experienced artist and a master of the arts. The technical level of the company is exceptional!" wrote critic Ruth Eshel, referring to this performance.

It is scheduled on June 27, starting 10 p.m. and on June 28, starting 6 p.m., at the Culture Factory - Construcții SA - UniCredit - Faust Hall.

Jesús Carmona Dance Company comes to Sibiu with the performance „Higher!”.

"The idea for this show was born from a personal incident that made me question the relationship of men and women to masculinity in the 21st century. In searching for an answer, I came to understand more deeply, every day, what kind of society we live in and what we can do to improve it, because perhaps even the simplest and most everyday attitudes are the ones that need to be changed. I wanted to transpose this personal evolution on stage, with the thought that art opens the soul to understanding and with the hope that I can move or open the eyes of even the most reluctant viewer to the theme suggested by the performance", says Jesús Carmona.

The performances are scheduled on July 2, at 9:00 p.m. and on July 3, at 6:00 p.m., at the "Ion Besoiu" Cultural Centre. The second performance will also be streamed online.

Noa Wertheim authored the choreography of the performance „Paradise Garden”, by the Vertigo Dance Company in Israel.

This creation is a work of art in which the body merges with its inner spiritual layers, with the interior of each being, each dancer, as it weaves into a familiar fabric.

The performance will take place on June 29, at 6:00 p.m., and on June 30 at 5:00 p.m., at the Culture Factory - Construcții SA - UniCredit - Faust Hall. The second performance can also be watched online.

The FITS 2022 program also includes many other dance performances, both in performance halls and in open spaces.
Spectators can purchase tickets and check the complete program on the website www.sibfest.ro and at the Theatre Agency in Sibiu, Nicolae Bălcescu str. no. 17.
