Promenada Sibiu Hosts a Major FITS Programme and Offers Hundreds of Free Parking Spaces for Visitors and Residents

This year, Promenada Sibiu will become one of the key Festival hubs, hosting exhibitions, concerts, film screenings and street performances throughout the ten days of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival.
Every day will feature performances, concerts and flash mobs, both inside the shopping centre and on its panoramic terrace.
Young audiences will enjoy urban animation performances presented by the Țăndărică Animation Theatre from Bucharest on 19 June (1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.), 20 June (12:45 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.), and 21 June (12:45 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.).
On 26, 27 and 28 June, Vlad Benescu will present Wheels in Motion, a dynamic juggling performance for audiences of all ages, every evening from 8:00 p.m.
Military bands will perform at Promenada Sibiu on 23 and 24 June, starting at 11:00 a.m.
The Romanian Naval Forces Military Band from Constanța will perform on 23 June, combining artistic excellence with military tradition, while the Military Band of the 4th Infantry Division "Gemina" will perform on 24 June.
Between 19 and 28 June, visitors can explore two exhibitions hosted by Promenada Sibiu daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.: Exist, an exhibition by the Sibiu High School of Arts, and All Our Flags, a textile installation by artist Marlene Herberth.
Film enthusiasts will be able to enjoy some of the most acclaimed titles from the American Independent Film Festival, including Two People Exchanging Saliva, winner of the 2026 Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film. Directed by Romanian-born filmmaker Natalie Musteata together with Alexandre Singh, the film will be screened on Monday, 22 June, at 6:00 p.m. at CineGold.
On Tuesday, 23 June, at 6:00 p.m., lovers of French cinema can watch La Femme d'à côté, the classic film starring Fanny Ardant and Gérard Depardieu.
On Wednesday, 24 June, also at 6:00 p.m., CineGold will screen La Belle Époque, winner of three César Awards in 2020: Best Supporting Actress (Fanny Ardant), Best Original Screenplay (Nicolas Bedos) and Best Production Design.
On Thursday, 25 June, at 6:00 p.m., audiences can watch The Voice of Hind Rajab, a film exploring the consequences of the war in Gaza.
On Friday, 26 June, at 6:00 p.m., CineGold will present The New Gospel, directed by Milo Rau, while on Saturday, 27 June, at 6:00 p.m., the American Independent Film Festival section within FITS concludes with a documentary about the siege of Mariupol.
Free Parking Throughout FITS for Visitors and Residents
Thousands of visitors are expected to arrive in Sibiu each day during the Festival, making parking availability an important issue. To help ease access to the city centre, Promenada Sibiu is offering hundreds of free parking spaces just a few minutes' walk from the Historic Centre.
Visitors can leave their vehicles free of charge throughout the Festival in a covered, monitored parking facility.
This year's edition of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival, held under the theme SOUL, takes place from 19 to 28 June and features more than 848 indoor, outdoor and online events.
