Ibsen 2028 – Ibsen as a Counterforce for 200 Years

Two hundred years after the birth of the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen, his plays continue to resonate as powerful reflections on social structures and contemporary realities. In 2028 we will mark his jubilee, and questsions arise:

How can we understand art as a counterforce — from Ibsen’s time to today? Why is Ibsen still relevant today?

In collaboration with the festival, Performing Arts Hub Norway, and the Norwegian Embassy in Bucharest, invite you to a conversation with Hege Knarvik Sande, CEO of Performing Arts Hub Norway; Jan Koslowski, director from Germany; Chris Simion-Mercurian, director from Romania; Kathrine Nedrejord, Sámi playwright from Norway; and Ovio Olaru, Ph.D., translator and Assistant Professor at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu.
