Dan Perjovschi
Romania is a democracy. We owe this to an active and resilient cultural and civil society. This edition is dedicated to them.
The Horizontal Newspaper is an initiative of the artist Dan Perjovschi which began at the initiative of FITS in 2010 and continued with the support of Radu Stanca National Theatre and the City Hall of Sibiu. It is a unique project worldwide. The newspaper includes social, cultural, political, local and global sections and its permanent guests are: ALEG (the Association for Liberty and Equality of Gender) Poets Festival in Transylvania, Sibiu. Artists and associations in Romania and from abroad are also “published” depending on each year’s theme. Dan Perjovschi is editor, proofreader and unique designer.
Dan Perjovschi was born in Sibiu and he is a citizen of honour of the city. He lives and exhibits in Sibiu, Bucharest and the rest of the planet. He is a member of GDS the Group for Social Dialogue in Bucharest. He’s a journalist at “Revista 22” where he has been publishing drawings and texts continuously since 1990.
