The religious concert “Hymns for the Soul” invites audiences to an evening of spiritual reflection and musical beauty, presented by the Timotei Popovici Choir of the Metropolitan Orthodox Cathedral of Sibiu, together with the Choir and Folk Ensemble of the Religious Music Department of the “Andrei Șaguna” Faculty of Theology at the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu. Under the direction of Rev. Lecturer Dr. Dan Alexandru Streza, the concert will bring together voices and instruments in a moving celebration of sacred tradition.

The program will include religious pieces in choral and vocal-instrumental arrangements from both Romanian and international repertoires, offering a diverse and uplifting musical journey. From the warmth of traditional liturgical hymns to the expressiveness of contemporary sacred compositions, the repertoire is designed to inspire, comfort, and elevate the soul.

Taking the stage as soloists will be faculty members of the Religious Music Department in Sibiu: Rev. Lecturer Dr. Dan Alexandru Streza, Lecturer Dr. Melinda Samson, Assistant Dr. Daniela Carmen Roșoga-Popa, alongside other talented students.

By blending choral harmonies, colors inspired by folk tradition, and vocal refinement, this event will create a space for contemplation, cultural connection, and spiritual resonance.
