No wonder this news found joyful resonance in Salzburg: everybody in Salzburg was proud of their “Wolferl”.
The musical program “Mozart at Madame Pompadour” is presented by cellist Götz Teutsch and pianist Cordelia Höfer in a trio with violinist Nicu Sult from the Sibiu State Philarmonic Orchestra. Actor Marius Turdeanu from Sibiu National Theatre “Radu Stanca” accompanies the music with recitatives that tell of the Mozart family’s journey to Paris, about the reception of Wolfgang at the French court, the insanely funny ceremonials, the behavior of little Mozart and his sister. The whole program consists of a selection of Mozart music (KV 1-14) and wonderful texts about this miracle Mozart.
Performance in Romanian, with translation into English
