Pink Terror Sweet Dream 3

Theatre Department, College of Art, Nihon University

What is it like to be born a girl in Japan? "Pink Terror Sweet Dream 3” depicts the challenges faced by young Japanese women today, the expectations of society, and the pressures they face on their appearance. The story interweaves 'Snow White' with various scenes of a mother and daughters, conversations with friends, and consultations with a doctor, highlighting themes of female self-perception and social roles. Expressing the complex emotions of being born a woman, the play was originally written by playwright Miyu Murakami, now 20 years old, when she was 18.

A feminist manifesto and a provocative metaphor about the drift of a prejudiced society.
