For forty years at the helm of Actes Sud-Papiers publishing house, Claire David has worked alongside and accompanied the theatre of today, both from the point of view of playwrights and directors, publishing their essays, and from the point of view of more singular artists, with their fine books. The catalogue of almost 1,300 titles reflects a contemporary history of the theatre.

Since 2023 she has been head of the performing arts section at Actes Sud, bringing together Theatre, Music and Dance.

She takes a keen interest in the transmission of knowledge, and so she runs the Charles Dullin School, an online training platform for stage directors.
