Cosmin Alexandru Purice (director), after the second performance of “6 characters in search of an author” (Luigi Pirandello, staged at Théâtre de la Ville-Paris by Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota).

”Pirandello means a lot to me. This is how I discovered Mrs. Cătălina Buzoianu who knows how to breathe life into Pirandello like no other in Romania. She was working at Teatru Mic, had directed “Trovarsi” (by the same Luigi Pirandello) with Valeria Seciu starring as Donata Genzi and I was so impressed with the play that during the break I rushed out to buy flowers. When I gave them to her, she asked if I was a student. I stunned her: I was still in highschool.”

Cosmin Alexandru Purice is one of the young people who chose to do theater (directing, acting, anything) after seeing “The Trojan Women” by Andrei Serban in the early 90s.

Maybe the children witnessing the magical performances in the Large Square of Sibiu will become the young people who will then go to the theater more often and – profoundly impressed by a certain performance – will become actors, directors.
