Application

Sibiu International Theatre Festival is an event that promotes excellence in the Performing Arts. The selection of the events that are part of the program is done by the recommendation of an artistic board, and one can take part in the Festival only by invitation.


If you have a proposal and you wish to take part in the upcoming editions of our festival, please send your material (only once per edition) either by e-mail: vicentiu.rahau@sibfest.ro - indoor performances, dan.bartha@sibfest.ro - outdoor performances, or by post (Teatrul Național “Radu Stanca” Sibiu, Bd. Corneliu Coposu 2, Sibiu, 550245, Romania).

Due to the large number of submissions, only the selected companies will be contacted. If you haven’t heard from us, we thank you for your interest regarding the Sibiu International Theatre Festival and we are gladly waiting for you for a new selection session for the editions to come.


How to apply for INDOOR performances/events:

The application process consists in sending, by e-mail or by post, the entire recording of the performance (DVD or internet link) along with the logistical, financial and technical information. Besides the artistic value of the proposals, the selection criteria also takes into account the compatibility with the indoor available venues.

  Deadlines for Indoor international performances/events:

30 September – deadline for submitting proposals
15 November – deadline for contacting the selected companies/artists

  Deadlines for Indoor national performances/events:

15 December – deadline for submitting proposals
15 January – deadline for contacting the selected companies/artists


How to apply for OUTDOOR performances/events:

The application process consists in sending, by e-mail or by post, trailers or the entire recording of the performance (DVD or internet link), along with the logistical, financial and technical information.

If we are interested in your application we will contact you for further information. Please note that our response does not necessarily mean the selection of the proposed performances. Besides the artistic value of the proposals, the selection criteria also takes into account the compatibility with the outdoor available venues.
