“Mon Cabaret Noir” is based on the story of Anita Berber – a highly successful dancer, choreographer, actress and model of the 1920s, the golden age of cabaret. Completely unknown in Romania, she was an avantgarde character, rebellious and eccentric, whose destiny could easily become a film script. The show invites the audience into the world of Berlin’s cabarets, charged with eroticism, night life, full sexual freedom, drugs and alcohol, where nothing is too weird, and any experiment is allowed. ‘“Mon Cabaret Noir” provokes through eroticism and questions the dark sides of our personality. First and foremost, it challenges the concept of freedom – I’d say it’s a plea for the freedom of the human being, from prejudice and from all the rules imposed by society. It’s a rather unusual effort for the audience: a total performance, including theatre, choreography, music and lots of colours. It’s professionally made, as we’ve tried to raise the bar in this field of total performance.’ - Răzvan Mazilu
Performance in Romanian, English, German, French, with translation into Romanian and English.
Performance not recommended to audiences under 16.

„Mon Cabaret Noir” is a Teatrelli production.
