Ensemble Raro, founded in 2004, has performed in many of the great music centres and at international festivals in Europe, the USA and Japan, including Konzertthaus and Musikverein in Vienna, Carnegie Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, Musashino Hall in Tokyo, Atheneum in Bucharest, Lucerne Festival, Wiener Festwochen, Rheingau Musikfestival, Amadeus Festival in Geneva, Spoleto Festival in Italy and many others.
Ensemble Raro’s partners in their projects included musicians such as Konstantin Lifschitz, Juliane Banse, Adrian Brendel, Marcelo Nisinman, Daishin Kashimoto, Boris Brovtsyn, Maximilian Hornung, Benjamin Schmid, Radovan Vlatkovic, Mark Padmore, Gilles Apap as well as actor Karl Markovic and writer Lea Singer.
Ensemble Raro is “ensemble en residence” at the SoNoRo Festival in Bucharest, “Chiemgauer Musikfruehling” Festival in Germany and “Kobe Music Festival” in Japan.
The ensemble is actively involved in organising an extended educational project, SoNoRo Interferences, which takes place in Romania, Germany and Italy.
