Marta had not an easy life. Stanisław’s presence at home was rare. He rather spent time with Berlin bohemian fellows, living surrounded by splendour of his fame. But Marta was deeply devoted. She was his mistress, mother of his children. As she got used to Stanisław not being around, she didn’t foresee him leaving for good from their house on Wholestrasse.
Dagny wanted to be the one for Stach, but she became one of many. Number of men fell for her, she loved only the one. Stach used to say: “If I didn’t love other women, how would I know how much I love You, Ducha? My commitment is based on testing myself”. These three, Stanisław Przybyszewski, Dagny Juel and Marta Foerder, meet in a gallery on Unter den Linden 19 in Berlin at the Edvard Munch exhibition.
Performance not recommended to audiences under the age of 12.
