„With the gypsy girls” is the text that speaks the most clearly and in the same time the most concealingly about dreaming. Or not. The beauty of struggling with a text that is based on a fantastic short story is that, no matter who wins, the result is amazing: a performance where we recreate an incomprehensible world that we try to decrypt by using the recognisable language elements. The return into life, into the fake reality, means the return in time. Back into the world from which he had come, Gavrilescu finds the same torrid heat, and tries to build conversations, not realising that 12 years had passed between the moment he entered the place of the gypsy girls and the actual date of the discussion. He did not understand the change of his existential condition and is convinced that everything is a misunderstanding that he postpones for the day after. His return to the gypsy girls represents his separation from the world that rejects him. The theme of the fantastic reappears in the shape of the carriage driver, who crosses Gavrilescu on the other side. Death remains but a dream for everyone.
