„I was attracted by Vişniec’s text due to the timeless topic and poetic construction. «Why Hecuba?!» is actually a dramatic poem that invokes the infinite power of love as an antidote against the horrors inflicted by people to their peers. The cry of Hecuba, the legendary mother who lost all her sons in the Trojan War, represents the universal voice of mothers who, through the power of their suffering, seek to bring back the laws of harmony and love to this gory world. Otherwise, chaos might generate apocalyptic imbalances.” (Anca Bradu)
