A dog not eating the vegetables in the garden, but also not letting anyone else get near them – it is a metaphor that accurately describes the situation of the characters in „The dog in the manger”, written by Lope de Vega. Those who’ve found themselves in a similar situation are invited to watch the raw vegetables rebel against their fate, with the music of the most loved hits of all time playing in the background. A delicious comedy where there is singing, dancing and discussion of existential problems. What can be more appropriate? Well… we know the answer to that: a group of actors at the beginning of their career, enthusiastic, full of energy, and, between us, a bit mad, a live band pissed on rock’n roll music, a few poetry pages written 500 years ago by a master playwright called... Lope de Vega, an audience fond of „classical” laugh, and a little bit of magical dust off the floorboards of the stage: the recipe of a successful show, created from the soul, with soul and for souls.
Performance presented in Romanian, with translation into English.
