Bucharest, the capital city of Romania, is the home of the Festival. The concerts take place in important concert halls as well as in clubs, museums and other unusual locations, underlining the creative and adventurous spirit of this young cultural initiative. The 10th edition of the SoNoRo Festival will take place in Bucharest, Cluj - Napoca, Arad and Iaşi under the motto „The Dreamers”, from 30th October-17th November 2015. Celebrated artists such as Gilles Apap, Konstantin Lifschitz, Maximilian Hornung and Alissa Margulis, among others, will enchant the audience in several concerts. The SoNoRo Festival has been going on tour not only in major Romanian cities but also in some of the most prestigious concert halls worldwide such as Carnegie Hall (New York), Wigmore Hall (London), Konzerthaus (Vienna), Gasteig (Munich) and YMCA (Jerusalem), as well as in Kiev, Istanbul, Athens and Riga. Ensemble Raro, one of the most creative and versatile European chamber music groups, is the „ensemble in residence” of the SoNoRo Festival. The pianist Diana Ketler, the violinist Erik Schumann, the violist Răzvan Popovici and the cellist Julian Arp are members of the Ensemble Raro. Previously, the Festival released three highly acclaimed CD’s – „Songs and Dances of Life”, „The Seasons” and „Love Songs” – and the photography albums „SoNoRo-Imagining Music” and „SoNoRo-Conac” by Şerban Mestecăneanu.
