"Target Girl and Her Ten Lovers" is a co-production of "Radu Stanca" National Theatre of Sibiu and Théâtre de la Licorne (Lille, France), which aims to bring before the audience a performance full of creativity and innovation. Making use of original techniques and means, Claire Dancoisne, director and manager of Théâtre de la Licorne since 1986, creates a fascinating universe, where improvisation, the masks and the objects are given the main parts. The myriad of forms employed carries the audience into a world where the classical theatre, commedia dell'arte and circus elements blend in perfectly. The performance proposes a theatre in which the actors, the visual artists and the musicians challenge the limits of imagination. The beauty of visual elements and the grandeur of masks become a means of exploring the classical theatre language of the body, of paper, metal, colour and sound. This theatre form, non-realistic and oftentimes poetic, explores and makes use of contemporary theatrical art, visual art and puppet theatre in its performances.
