Cricoteka, Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor with its seat in Kraków in Poland was founded by Tadeusz Kantor as early as in 1980, at first as the Centre of Cricot 2 Theatre. For almost ten years it has been the basic institution for Kantor's theatre, simultaneously a kind of the Living Archives of his theatre creation. The main purpose of the centre has been to preserve his ideas, not in a librarian system, but in the mind and imagination of generations to come.
In accordance with the Master's testament, this task is the basic and most important purpose currently carried out by Cricoteka. The unique collection of Kantor's works is the basis of activity of the centre. The collection consists of several hundreds of objects and costumes of Cricot 2 Theatre, Kantor's theoretical papers, drawings and design works, video recordings, and photographic documentation as well as thousands of reviews, journals and books.
First part of the exhibition presents theatrical space from the performance "I Shall Never Return", the last of Tadeusz Kantor's performances that was staged by him and with his presence on stage (premiere 1988 in Milan; "Today is My Birthday", the last performance of Cricot 2, had its premiere in 1991, already after artist's death). The space will be fulfilled by the image and voice recorded during rehearsals to it.
In the second room one will be able to see the object "The Classroom - Closed Work", which dates from 1983, when presented in Centre Pompidou in Paris, and then reconstructed and supplemented by Kantor in 1985. It incorporates also object "Boy In The Bench" and as so they both constitute embodiment of Kantor's ideas reflected in the most famous Cricot 2 performance "The Dead Class".

Triptych: it is time that prints on wax
A new production of multi-layered works in the ongoing collaborative process between the choreographic installation artist, writer, director, dancer and performer Ursula Mawson-Raffalt and the painter, light, sound, video and media artist Anthony J. Faulder-Mawson, founders and artistic directors of the Interdisciplinary Platform for Innovation in the Arts, ) + ( = a0.
The Installation works, interlinking an Audio Visual Art Environment and a Choreographic Memory Theatre correspond via silence, chance, and geometry and draw inspiration from ancient memory systems. A common denominator in the artistic embodiment of the Performance _Installation is the search for “great” inspiration and poetical intensity laying bare the melancholic vision of silence in all its breadth and generosity.
Highlighting the different variations, layering multiple actions and disciplines, compositional tasks and architectural settings and featuring a special and diverse group of individuals, this constantly evolving body of work resides on the borders between the performing arts and visual art. Aiming for innovative, sustainable & essential ways of production and presentation, the layout of the project’s presentational structure on a triangular scale corresponds directly with its artistic vision. The creation process was very much helped by the still, beautiful and natural environment at the Tyrone Guthrie.

THE INFLUENCE OF THE FOLK COSTUME IN THEATRE DESIGN
International Symposium and Costume Design Exhibition
The international exhibition and the symposium will host costume designers, members of the OISTAT scenography commission, and a group of Romanian costume designers. The presentations will analyse the influence of traditional costume in the design of the theatre costume, with visual samples belonging to the artists from the countries of the participants. In order to have a higher impact and greater exposure among the myriad of events presented by Sibiu International Theatre Festival, the symposium will also include a costume street parade, where each of the 16 participants will exhibit one or two of their creations.
